New beauty buys!

If you didn’t know already, I went to America last month (as if I haven’t mentioned it enough already) and that of course meant I picked up a few new beauty things. The mother-ship of make-up and skincare was obviously visited where I got most of the new bits…I am of course talking about Sephora. I flipping well love that shop and could easily spend far too much money in there every time. I truly have to exercise a lot of restraint when in there. I honestly prefer the Sephora’s in America as opposed to the ones in Europe, just something more inviting about them.

I didn’t really have much of a list of things I wanted to pick up except stocking up on my favourite ever concealer which is a Sephora own brand one called Bright Future. It’s seriously the best and I swear by it. Other than that I just had a casual browse in the Downtown Disney Sephora which was so empty and quiet, it was lovely.

The first item I picked up was the most expensive but oh my is it dreamy?! Since buying my first full Urban Decay eye shadow palette which was the Naked Heat shades, I’ve been really wanting to add to my collection. I saw a few photos of the newest eye shadow palette which was the Honey shades and I knew it would be the perfect addition to my collection. I really love the Urban Decay eye shadows formula, they blend really well and sit on the lid all day without any trouble. They’re also very pigmented which is always a plus when it comes to higher end make-up. If you’re looking for a new eye shadow palette to treat yourself to that you will definitely get the wear out of everyday to night then this is definitely a contender.

I have a bit of a thing about buying new primers at the moment and I don’t know where it’s come from. It’s really life changing, well that’s probably a bit extreme saying that but it really does change up your make-up game when you start using primers as your foundation etc just stays on better and goes on almost perfectly. Anyways, I basically picked up a new primer on a bit of a whim and it’s ended up being amazing so I should trust my gut when picking make-up items more. It’s another Sephora own brand item, seriously I think the own brand stuff is really underrated. My latest addition to the ever growing primer bundle I’ve got is the Sephora beauty amplifier hydrate. It’s bright blue which scares you at first but honestly it has done wonders for my skin and applying my make-up. It tingles at first when you put it on but I think that’s down to hyaluronic acid and it’s also enriched with prickly pear flower extract which makes it smell really fresh. After I put it on my face instantly feels refreshed and cool.

Next up is a make-up item from a brand I always hear or see people talking about when they go to America and now it’s something that you can now get in the UK through Boots. I am of course talking about Milani and one of their iconic blushes. I couldn’t resist finally picking one of these up, half for just how pretty they look, but it is also a really subtle colour to the cheek. I got it in the shade tea rose 08 and I just love it, I’ve already been wearing it tons and it’s the perfect for everyday wear.

One thing I was so excited to finally pick up and I’m amazed it took me to fly across the world to get it but hey ho. I picked up the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray which I think everyone knows about. Wow, why did it take so long for me to use it?! Again it changes your make-up game as everything just stays put and looks perfect all day when you use the spray. It’s almost like magic.

I don’t think I need to mention again how much I flipping love the Fenty foundation, so much so that I’ve gone through nearly two bottles of the original foundation. So seen as I loved the original foundation so much, I thought I’d try the latest addition which is meant to be a little lighter on the skin which is something I’ve been working towards. I’ve not been a massive fan of wearing heavy make-up lately so this seemed like the perfect addition. It’s the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r hydrating long wear foundation that now comes in a plastic casing instead of glass which is better for travelling and actually getting more product out towards the end of use.

You all know I’m basically a Glossier bitch. They could literally release a bin bag with their logo on it and I’d buy it. It’s just my weakness okay. I got to visit their LA store which was awesome can I just add and I ended picking up one of the newest items to the Glossier line up. Something close to my heart and a step in my make-up routine that I love doing is my eyebrows so I obviously picked up Brow Flick. It’s changed up my brow game like I can not even begin to explain. It’s so quick and easy to use but get an amazing shape and colour on your brows. I love it and so little goes a long way.

Finally the last thing I have to talk to you about what I picked up was a mascara which I have to admit was a spare of the moment as I’m not the type of person to spontaneously buy a cheapish mascara as I tend to have sensitive eyes. However, I’ve heard nothing but good things when it comes to WetnWild so thought I’d try this Mega Volume very black mascara. I’ll admit it doesn’t give me mega volume as I’m used to my Nars Climax mascara. But the WetnWild one is a good everyday mascara to just chuck on and give you some volume.

So that’s all the new beauty items I’ve got recently which was kind of a little haul of things I got whilst in America too. Have you got any new beauty bits recently that you’re loving at the moment?

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my latest blog post. Be sure to check back next week for a brand new post.

Until next time,
